hey everyone, i hope life is treating you well!

i mentioned in my last entry that i'm going to be at AX this year -- now that i know my location in the artist alley, i've got a map of it for you:


and, here's a preview of some of the things i'll be selling...




(a LOT of you have been asking about the sketchbooks already! yes, i will sell some online at some point after AX, and i should have a few to bring to AWA too.)

i'll also have some free bookmarks at my table you can grab, while they last and, i will be doing a very limited amount of sketch commissions ($40 1char///$70 2char.) conventions are pretty much the only places i take commissions anymore, and my queue tends to fill up quickly, so if you'd like one, please bring printed references and come as early as you can

additionally, if you're going to be in the LA area anytime between july 5th and august 30th, come check out MOON CRISIS 2014 at rothick art haus! i'll have 3 pieces up in the show, all for sale, and i'll be at the first opening night in person, selling a few prints.

and then, on the tuesday following AX (july 8th,) i'll be a guest on ragnarok online's tiki tuesday stream! i'm a little camera shy, so i don't plan on doing a whole lot of talking...but i will be taking doodle requests.

i wanted to let you know that i'll be at momocon in about a week, selling stuff in the artist alley and doing sketch commissions.

(please note that i am not taking any other commissions at this time! conventions are pretty much the only time i'm able to squeeze commissions in anymore...)

also, this summer i'll finally be back in LA for a bit!!! i'll be in the AX artist alley; i'm not sure where my table will be yet but i'll be sure to update with those details when i receive 'em.

and, sailor moon fans: i'll have some brand new work up (and for sale) in MOON CRISIS 2014! i'll also be there in person on opening night, july 5th. it's free to attend, and they have a ton of absolutely amazing artists lined up for this show, so please stop by if you can!

hey guys, i hope you're enjoying your summer so far!

i wanted to let you all know (if you haven't already seen it on my tumblr or twitter) that the red dragon inn 4 is in the works! i'm in the process of illustrating 3 of its characters -- tara the navigator, bryn the boatswain, and captain whitehawk -- all very badass ladies! there's a kickstarter running for it over here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/s…



it ends in a week and is still just a bit shy of its last stretch goal at the time of this writing, so please go check it out and pledge if you can! you can also find some previews of the characters i'm working on in the updates



also, for any of you who are currently in tokyo, there's a beautiful art show running throughout the month that i'd like to persuade you to check out. it's the ARTs*LABo Ex2013: artslabo.net/p_web/top3.htm (sorry, the site is in japanese only)



it's a big group exhibition being held at the art forum ONE'S in jiyugaoka, with a different theme and different set of artists each week. i had the privilege of being part of the "FANTASY" group whose work was displayed in the first week of june, but there are lots more artists with gorgeous work that you can still go view! there are also artbooks for sale at the show featuring all of the participating artists.



lastly, it's looking like i won't be at otakon this year (sorry!) but i will be at AWA. as always, i'll be taking sketch commissions at the con, but if you'd like to order a sketch in advance to pick up that weekend, please feel free to email me (barachan at barachan dot com) or message me here on dA. thanks!
